Magnetic chalkboards: Magnetic chalkboards are magnetic receptive meaning that a magnet will stick to them. Magnetic chalkboards are the most common chalkboards used in schools but they are excellent in the office or as kitchen chalkboards. Because the chalkboard is magnetic you can use magnets to post notes, pictures or whatever else just like a bulletin board. Our OptiMA magnetic chalkboards are the most recommended chalkboards in schools because they can stand up to the every day use and abuse that an educational environment can put on a chalkboard. The smoother porcelain steel chalkboard writing surface creates much less dust than a composition or old slate type chalkboard.
Our Steel-Rite chalkboards are the workhorse of magnetic chalkboards. We can also create large chalkboards with a magnetic writing surface. We offer large chalkboards in multiple panels connected either with a consealed spline joint of a traditional painted H-bar in lengths up to 24'. Custom length large chalkboards are also available.
Our Steel-Rite magnetic chalkboards also make an excellent kitchen chalkboard in smaller sizes such as the 2x3. They look quiet nice in the solid oak trim giving the board a little bit of an old country look to them.
Our HPL chalkboards are a non-magnetic, 25 year chalkboards that can also stand up to heavy usage. These green chalkboards are an excellent economic alternative for schools on a budget or if your particular class room doesn't need the magnetic abilities of the Steel-Rite magnetic chalkboards.
The Composition chalkboards still tend to be our most popular and most economical chalkboards. Our composition chalkboards are favored as restaurant menu boards in the restaurant trade and specials boards in the supermarket trade because of their looks and their economical pricing. Black is by far the most popular writing surface color with the natural oak trims. This is an economical, two-coat, painted chalk board that is available in either green or black.
The Standard Composition Chalk Board is our "Good" or economy board which offers a quality writing surface for budget conscious individuals. The perfect Non-Magnetic Kitchen, Restaurant or Playroom Chalkboard.

If your order comes to you by truck you have to open and inspect your order regardless of what the outside of the carton may look like. Large objects like these can be damaged during transit and it is your responsibility to inspect your shipment on arrival. We will replace any damaged product free of charge if it is signed for as damaged upon arrival.
*If your order must ship by truck we have a shipping fee of $100.00 within the continental U.S. to your loading docks or curb side. If your board order is over $850 then you will only be charged a flat fee of $45. There is a service charge of $35.00 for "Call Ahead" service. Custom orders and graphics orders are not included in our free shipping program.
